Bingo Addict Nicks £62,000

You know that you've got a little too heavily into the balls when you have to steal a total of £62,000 in order to fuel your online bingo habit. You wouldn't credit that it would even be possible consider most games range from a penny to the more unusual £1 games. Jailed for six months for the theft, Sandra Preston stole the money from the Total garage where she worked and used a payment system that meant she transferred money directly into her bingo accounts.

Now, if you're like the rest of the world you're probably thinking “oh, I wonder which sites she played on”. The answer to that is Mecca Bingo and Foxy Bingo, or at least these were the two sites where she transferred the money to. Amazingly it took her just two months between August and October of last year to steal over £60,000 to fund her habit.

We know that gambling addiction is a serious problem and that sufferers should be offered help with their addiction but its incredible to think, primarily, that somebody could spend that much in such a short space of time and, what's more, that she could steal that amount before getting caught.
