Bingo lovers in Bedford are sure to love playing bingo on Monday as the Knights of Columbus’ Monday night bingo game is scheduled to go smoke free. According to the chancellor for its council, Jim Parsch has said that this has been scheduled to create a healthier environment for bingo players.
He said that smoking is allowed during other bingo nights in Bedford. But there are many bingo players who play every night of the week who wish to try out a bingo night without any smoke.
So this move was done to find out how things will go when they go smoke-free for a bingo night. And if things work out fine, they intend to go smoke-free at least once a month.
Parsch also states that their plan of having a smoke free bingo night is not a plan to only gain attendance. In fact, they hope that they don’t lose attendance during their smoke free bingo night.
About 60 -80% of people visit the hall for bingo every Monday, where only a few of them are smokers. With this move, Knights of Columbus hopes to benefit bingo players and the workers of the council. In other words, they intend to create a healthier environment for them.
