The European bingo industrial group, EUBINGO, has announced changes in its key personnel for the next two years. Changes in its presidency, vice presidency and secretarial roles have been formalised. The lobby group represents the interests and concerns of the bingo industry and all the companies and individuals within that industry.
Sir Peter Fry, the current president and representative of the UK Bingo Association, will become the vice president for the next two years. His post as president will be taken by the Spanish Association's Javier Franch Cardona while the Italian Association's Italo Marcotti will become the group's secretary.
The group plays a significant part in the bingo industry and is responsible for representing a number of key European bingo associations in talks with the EU and their constituent institutions. The changes, which were agreed at the annual general meeting, came at the same time as an agreement regarding general online bingo practices.
Because of the increased popularity of online bingo and the shortfall faced by high street bingo chains, online gambling has become a bigger priority for the group. The introduction of best practices regarding online gambling, as well as guidelines for responsible gambling, was a sign of how important this has become.
