The company PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP had conducted a study that placed emphasis on the gambling industry of the world. According to the study, it is predicted to see an increase in the profits of the gambling industry over the next four years.

According to the report that was released by the company, in the year 2011 there is to be an increase in the worth of the global gambling industry. In fact, it is predicted to be worth about $144 billion with a compounded growth rate of 7.2%. This figure is a huge leap from the current figure of $101.6 billion.

The reason for this increase is attributed to the Pacific-Asia region of the world, where you find the resort of Macau in China. The revenue that is generated in that region is expected to rise from $14.6 billion to $30.3 billion. This is about an increase of 15.7% in revenue.

The revenue in the United States is expected to see an increase of 6.7% a year. This will take the overall amount from $57.5 billion to $79.6 billion. The revenue in Nevada is expected to grow to $18.2 billion, at an increase of 7.5% per year.

However the increase in the revenue in Middle East, Africa and Europe is expected to be only by 1.9% which will give a raise in the overall number from $25.2 billion to $27.8 billion.
