Investors are warned of an upcoming rocky road by Rank

There seems to be numerous things that contribute to the drop in the profits of Rank. And keeping this in mind, they now warn all future investors that the coming year is projected to be a tough year.

 

Rank is basically an operator of bingo clubs, which has fallen on tough times lately. In fact, things have been so bad for them that they have closed down eleven bingo clubs. However they still have 103 other clubs, including a brand new one.

 

Rank has even warned all investors that the coming year will be a rather tough one that would prove to be disadvantageous to them. However there have been signs of improvement in the companies found in Mecca Bingo Clubs. And though operating profits have fallen over 31%, there have been recent improvements. The underlying profits for these clubs were 7% in 2007.

 

The main reason for the loss in profit in the company is the smoking ban. This is why the company is working at finding different ways of rebounding from the ban, like building smoking enclosures. By the end of the year 2008, they propose to have these smoking enclosures installed in 50 of their clubs.

 

Steps have also been taken to improve the player’s experience in the clubs like the up gradation of food. And so that players can play more games, they have also added electronic bingo games in the clubs.
