Mecca bingo are leading the way in the green wars by partnering with power giant swalecto provide energy saving solutions for people in Wales. They are planning to give away an astonishing two million energy saving light bulbs in a bid to lower carbon emissions and power costs.
The project is being spearheaded from their headquarters in Wrexham, Wales with full backing from local politicians. Mecca are asking their members to come the their bingo halls in September and show their membership card to claim two of the energy saving lightbulbs each.
The joint venture is designed to save Mecca bingo members money on their electricty costs by making their homes more energy effiecient. This also will lower CO2 emmissions; which is a bonus on its own. Some amazing figures are being banded around too. The project could save enough electricity to run every street lamp in the UK for two weeks, which in our opinion is truely amazing and extremely generous.
Mecca are leading the way with this project and we hope it may encourage other companies to follow suit. Well done mecca bingo.
