Sharon Moore has been raising funds for cystic fibrosis since the past seven years, through bingo. Her efforts have raked in 21,000 pounds, and now she intends to reach 25,000 pounds by the end of 2010.

This year, everyone will be watching Sharon when she conducts a Christmas bingo at the Institute Hall of North Elmham on Monday. The event is scheduled to start at 7.30 where numerous prizes are to be won.

So far, Sharon is happy with the amount that she has managed to raise for the cause, and thanks all the people who have supported her in her efforts.

The reason for Sharon endeavoring to become such an enthusiastic fund –raiser for cystic fibrosis was because her now 25 year old cousin, Donna Leaver was diagnosed with the condition.

It was the three thousand pounds that was raised by a sponsored walk on Fakenham racecourse that gave her fund-raising a boost in July. This walk was part of 50 walks organized across the country by the Great Strides Campaign of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

On starting on fund raising, Sharon had pledged that she would continue raising cash for this cause and has since become a famous person in Fakenham for her efforts. She says that she is greatly indebted, and fortunate for contributions made by people to her fund raising efforts.
