UK sees more of a demand for online bingo

Written by: Nikola Zugic on 15/04/2008 11:15

According to the data released by the online bingo player portal BingoPort.co.uk which was released last week, internet bingo playing in the UK has increased greatly over the past six months.

In fact, the report states that the average number of people playing bingo on a daily basis in UK has increased about 19% since September. However all this data and increase in bingo players has not actually taken people working in the online bingo industry by much surprise.

According to Scott Logan, Managing Director for BingoPort.co.uk, being the only company in UK collecting industry data, they had been expecting this for some time. He says that the main reason for the rise in bingo players is because of the bingo operators using media marketing campaigns instead of TV to take their message across.

This move was resorted to because of the strict TV advertising agencies by UK authorities. With this, big online bingo clubs like GalaBingo.co.uk., FoxyBingo.com and  newly opened ones like 888Ladies.com have used the media to gain players so that they can get a better foothold in the growing bingo marketplace.

And according to them, they expect this trend to continue for some more time. BingoPort.co.uk has been monitoring the UK online bingo industry and the future of bingo in Great Britain.
